Geometry in food

In the 1841 book The Childs Pictorial Geometry a slice of cake is an equilateral triangle and a sugar loaf is a cone.

"This piece of Cake forms an equilateral Triangle because all the sides and angles are equal."

"This Sugar Loaf has the form of a Cone: a name given to all bodies composed of circumferences which diminish till they come to a. point, which is called the summit. The base of a Cone is a flat surface describing a circumference."
